WHAT IS RESIF?The scientific challenges of the future related to the use of resources and the development of sustainable, competitive human activities require efficient means to measure and observe the earth, its movements, its resources and its natural risks. These means – based on land and space equipment – must combine extremely high density of measurement with very high time and space resolution and be able to provide reliable information very quickly to all the public or private parties concerned. French researchers, pioneers of recent major developments in terms of concepts and techniques, are reputed around the world in this field. We propose to develop a national system of excellent quality to observe and understand the inner earth. |
