The 3rd Rencontres Scientifiques et Techniques of Résif took place from 10 to 12 October 2017 in Saint-Jean-de-Monts, Vendée. More than one hundred participants, researchers, engineers, technicians and students shared experiences and know-how in a welcoming setting on the Atlantic coast. The results of these Meetings are globally positive: 22 oral presentations, 22 posters and 6 thematic workshops have animated the last 4 days of the conference in the scientific and technical fields of seismology, geodesy and gravimetry. The students Christine Masson (University of Montpellier) and Ugo Nanni (University of Grenoble Alpes) won the 2017 competition “The two best posters”. Thematic workshops were held to take stock of some of Résif’s specific and transversal actions, while others focused on the role that Résif could play in the observation and analysis of environmental changes, as well as on the awareness and education of citizens in the context of telluric risks.
