In the context of the Résif research infrastructure, the French seismology community has chosen to implement a national validation and distribution system for seismology data, as suggested by FOSFORE. The model proposed uses several collection/validation nodes (A nodes), but a single distribution node (B node) which connects to users and to international data centres. This system has the advantage of using existing human resources which are geographically distributed, but it can only by effective if the seismological observatories include a system to implement the same software in all A nodes.
