The SisFrance site groups together more than 6,000 earthquakes felt in France for more than a thousand years. Yo ucan search for information according to different criteria such as the date or place (department or town) of an earthquake and even by coordinates.
The Sisfrance database was founded by several organisations, BRGM, EDF and IRSN. Its objectives are to collect archives showing historical seismicity in France and to translate them into a homogeneous macroseismic scale (MSK-64 scale).
The SisFrance database, which was made accessible via the Internet in 2002 and then taken offline several months ago due to computer security problems, is finally back in service !
